Highland Youth Soccer

The purpose of Highland Youth Soccer is to provide and promote the opportunity for children in our community to play soccer. HYS also promotes a high level of participation in soccer as a form of recreation, exercise, teamwork, fundamental skill and good sportsmanship.

Programs:

1. U4-U6 YDA: Introduction to recreational soccer played in-house (Highland)
2. U7-U8 YDA: Continued development of basic soccer and preparation for travel soccer. Played in-house against other Highland teams.
3. U9-U10 YDA: Continued development of soccer skills and play in preparation for travel soccer. Played locally around Medina against other communities.
4. 7v7 Travel: Introduction to travel soccer for players primarily in 1st-3rd grade (and possibly 4th grade)
5. 9v9 Travel: Continued development of travel soccer skills with a focus on competitive game tactics for players primarily in 4th-5th grade (and possibly 6th grade).
6. 11v11 Travel: Strengthening the tactical skills in preparation for high school soccer for players primarily in 6th-8th grade.
